Neat and huge room with view on the garden was enjoyable. Particularly helpful and best staff who were always there to help. Its location close to restaurants and cafes was ideal and exceptionally nice.
My bed was very firm.

Convenient location near a 24-hour convenience store.
Everything was beyond frustrating. The shower was ridiculously small. I can't believe how early everything closes in Nikko. It was difficult to find food or activities after 6 pm. We had to rely on our frustrated host just to find a decent restaurant, and that shouldn't be the case during a stay.

The room was clean, I had warm experience.
Modern and fairly clean hotel, the staff who served us were welcoming, and it had excellent location on the river. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the room itself was comfy.

The warm hospitality of the owners made us feel right at home, and their local tips on nearby attractions were invaluable.
If there was one thing to improve, it would be to add some noise insulation in the bathrooms, as sounds from there could be quite noticeable.

I almost thought this place could be nice, but i can't with the ridiculously small shower that was just like a coffin, and the noise from the bathroom was almost unbearable. Plus, a little special treatment would've gone a long way, like a warm welcome gift perhaps. What a shame, i just couldn't give more stars.
